The last few charters have been fishing focused, and they have all caught fish. Mainly we are getting Reds and trout in the mangroves. Still a couple of sheepshead, jumped a snook, and the anoying catfish. Heck, one charter brought in 3 stingrays. Well, not all the way in, but they were a fun fight and the folks had not really done a lot of fishing. One of the things that we pride ourselves on is "teaching". Its roots don't begin in the soil—they reach outward and downward, searching, stretching, eventually anchoring themselves in the water. These tangled prop roots, shaped by tides and time, create stability in an ever-changing environment. For those who spend their lives on the water, the red mangrove offers more than ecological importance—it becomes a...

Sunsets are so Calming

There’s something calming about watching a sunset. It's even better from the deck of a boat. As the day gently fades into night, the sky seems to come alive with oranges, soft pinks, and deep purples—colors that invite us to slow down and breathe a little more deeply. Here, in the Banana and Indian River Lagoons, sunset is when the birds start heading back to roost, and the sea breeze tends to calm, and it's a great time to just . . . to just be in the moment.
